Our primal needs as humans don’t change but how they are realised in society does. This is why when innovating we believe we need to ‘humanise’ an idea. How does your idea solve a primal need? We also understand that the economic landscape effects innovation. From how you fund your business to the price point you sell your product for. But it goes beyond this and to build a business you need to build a community. From this community you need to form a culture which reflects your brand and business. How this is all formed and curated is hugely important.
We have taken our HECC thinking and built out a framework, toolset and set of resources to support new and existing businesses leverage is this approach.

Why the HECC!
We have all used a SWOT analysis, heard of SOSTAC or thought about who is that ‘ideal customer’ but these are very broad tools and we developed HECC as it cuts to the chase and and from this you could then build out your solutions using these other tools.

What the HECC is it then…
All great businesses solve a human need very well, whether it is convenance, security, connections etc. Once you hone in on what the need your solving is then we feel lets look at the economics, where are people, whats the Macro landscape look like. Then how can you build a community around the need your solving and then to really embody your business we inject culture which forms personality & identity.

How does this all happen.
We have tools for each stage of the process and from these you can get to different outcomes depending on the real world challenge you are looking to solve. It might be you are launching a new product line, which is very different to starting a new business. Or maybe it’s an efficiency problem and so the focus is very particular. Due to the elements HECC considers it’s able to flex depending on the requirements.
